Pepsi Facility Rack System

The facility at Sirius is intended for the repair and maintenance of counter-top soda dispensing machines and stand alone machines. The floor machines will remain on the floor. The counter-top machines will be stored on the shelves and are relatively bulky for their weight. The storage racks are composed of light gage steel beams that hook into slots in column assemblies that already have the bracing welded into them. Therefore, the assembled racks are braced in the cross aisle direction, and act as moment frames along the aisle. Innova provided structural engineering services for PepsiCo and prepared drawings locating the placement of the racks in their facility.
