Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
Following hurricane damage, a 55,000 square foot temporary hospital facility was constructed using a componentized metaspace building system to provide a projected seven-year occupancy life during renovation of the existing hospital. Built on adjacent property with a 16-foot grade differential, the facility required a custom podium structure to maintain a constant finished floor elevation. As Structural Engineer of Record, Innova developed the podium framing and structural system integration, ensuring rapid deployment, site adaptability, and full life-safety compliance under challenging site conditions.
