Structural Engineers Las Vegas
The San Ysidro Point of Entry (POE) is the main border crossing between Mexico and the United States near San Diego, CA. The project consists of the final expansion of the primary and secondary canopies over the northbound and southbound routes through the POE. The Northbound Primary Canopy, designed by MKA Engineers, is a cantilevered, structural steel and cable structure supporting the approximately 20m wide x 45m long canopy section. There are a total of 19 cables connected to the roof. There are 13 cables from the top from which the structure hangs, and 6 cables beneath the structural steel frame working as hold-downs.
The EOR provided an erection sequence and the associated cable forces and displacements for the construction team to use to develop engineered erection plans, including a staged stressing sequence for the cables. Innova worked with the specialty fabricators and the erector to provide the following services:
1. Staged erection sequence to produce the cable forces.
2. Shoring and rigging specification, review, and in some cases, design.
3. On-site QA during the stressing sequence (not provided yet).
4. Peer Review of Pfeifer components.
San Ysidro Land Port of Entry

Innova worked with the steel fabricator and erector to design rigging and develop an engineered erection plan for the construction of a new private hangar for the Las Vegas Sands Corporation at McCarran International Airport. The hangar roof consists of several heavy, longspan trusses. Because of the low weight-to-length ratio of the trusses, the trusses were evaluated in several configurations to account for shipping, handling, and final erection conditions. Together with the erector and the crane supplier, Innova developed a plan to safely erect the trusses without the need for temporary shoring.
Sands Aviation Hangar
Las Vegas, Nevada
The High Roller is a 550-foot tall, 520-foot diameter giant ferris wheel on the Las Vegas Strip. This project consisted of shoring and falsework design for the foundation. Innova provided this to the contractor in addition to 3D coordination of all trades and assisted with the development of the engineered erection plan to set the anchor bolts and rebar for the five-column piers that support the wheel. The project was completed in 2014 and is the centerpiece of the popular, world-class mixed-use development.
High Roller Observation Wheel at the Linq
The Fairmont Austin is a high-rise hotel offering 1,048 chic rooms and Lady Bird Lake views just minutes from the State Capitol building in Austin. Innova Technologies provided specialty engineering during construction for the connections and stair design for the 37 story hotel. The project encompasses 2,400 tons of structural steel and over 1,750 total risers with seven stair designs. The project groundbreaking was November 2014 and the hotel opened in March 2018.
Loma Linda University Medical Center is a 990,000 square feet teaching hospital for Loma
Linda University, which includes schools of allied health professions, behavioral health,
dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and religion on the university campus.
The medical center serves as a level I trauma center for San Bernardino County and the rest of the
Inland Empire. Opening in spring 2021, the new tower on the Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical
Campus will advance the university’s ability to provide excellent healthcare. Innova
Technologies provided specialty engineering services during construction for the stair portion of
the vertical circulation package for the new addition.

Doc Bailey is a supplier of cranes and construction equipment to the construction industry located in Las Vegas. The company wanted a to expand its office space to support growth. The design team came up with a one-level prefabricated metal building with a mezzanine, offices, and meeting room to support the organization for one aspect of the project, with the structural design for the foundations and slabs on grade in the building. In addition, Innova provided the structural design of a second masonry building with a mezzanine and associated stair next to the prefabricated building.
Doc Bailey Office Building
The residence at The Summit located in the community of Summerlin is one of the largest residences in the Las Vegas valley with 30,000 square feet of living space. The roof consists of different curved sections made out of tube steel and the building structure is framed out of wide flange beams and tube columns. The porte-cochere has cantilever beams projecting long distances that together with the curved roofs make them look quite astonishing. The residence has a masonry-built basement.
Located within the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s, Giordano’s Pizzeria is known for serving the best Deep Dish Pizza on the Strip. As part of the design team, Innova Technologies was the structural engineer responsible for the design of the tenant improvement for the restaurant and the mezzanine, outdoor patio and shade structure.
Las Vegas Day School was founded by Jack and Helen Daseler in 1961 and was the first non-sectarian, non-denominational elementary school established in the State of Nevada. As part of the design team Innova Technologies delivered structural engineering for the design of the new gymnasium that was completed in August 2016. Innova’s design provides gravity and lateral structural design for the new school gymnasium.

The new Las Vegas City Hall project is a seven-story office building containing approximately 310,000 square feet. The building has been designed for approximately 520 employees and offers sustainable strategies throughout. The entry gives way to an expansive lobby and public art gallery. The facility offers a television station, state of the art council chambers, office space, indoor and outdoor plazas, employee lounge, solar panel rooftop and solar tree forest around the building.Innova contracted with KHS&S and Whiting-Turner for the new Las Vegas City Hall in Las Vegas, Nev. We have provided a variety of services including:Design of the undulating wall of the council chambers in the building and behind the seven-story tower. Miscellaneous construction engineering solutions requested by the contractor for the project.

In summer 2009, Aria was nearing completion and one of the final items to be installed was a 50,000-pound marble sculpture that is located outside, between the main check-in desk and the entrance to Crystals at City Center shopping plaza. The three-piece sculpture needed to be transported using a gantry crane over 100 feet from the main drive circle to its final resting place, across a structure designed for only pedestrian traffic. Innova provided shoring, rigging, and sequencing designs to transport five planter boxes and protect the structure during the delivery and installation process.

The Cairo Monorails Project consists of precast concrete guideway beams used for a monorail system in a highly urban environment. Much of the alignment is designed along major highways and moves between the median of existing roadways to the shoulders to avoid large highway crossings or accommodate stations and then return to the medians. There are numerous utilities and existing structures that must be avoided, including some that are being constructed after the contract was approved. Cairo is the capital of Egypt with a population of over 20 million. It is the largest city in Africa, the Arab world, and the Middle East, and the 15th-largest in the world. Coupled with that, Egypt has one of the world’s youngest demographics, which will cause the country’s population to grow 50% (from 100 million to 150 million) until the end of the century. These facts created the need for the government to device new population centers away from the congested Cairo streets.
Cairo Monorails Projects
The Bangkok monorail consisted of two lines with a total length of 64.5km (40 miles) through highly congested urban environments. The Yellow Line runs east of Bangkok in a north-south direction. It is 30.4 km (18.9 miles) long, with 23 stations and one depot. The Pink Line runs north of Bangkok, in an east-west direction. It is 34.5 km (21.4 miles) long, with 30 stations and one depot.

With a population of 11 million people in the municipality of São Paulo and 19.6 million people in the metropolitan area, São Paulo is located 760 meters (231.7 ft) above sea level, has a very mild temperature year around, and a good supply of water. Its municipal area of 1.523-km2 (588 mi2) and metropolitan area of 7,943-km2 (3,066.9 mi2), are very densely inhabited with 7,216 inhabitants per km2 (18,688 per mi2)in the municipality and 2,470 inhabitants per km2 (6,397 per mi2) in the metropolitan area.

Las Vegas Monorail - Expansion Studies
The Colorado River Bridge is the central portion of the Hoover Dam Bypass project. Construction on the nearly 2,000-foot long bridge began in late January 2005 and the entire Hoover Dam Bypass Project was completed in August 2012. Now completed, this signature bridge spans the Black Canyon (about 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam), connecting the Arizona and Nevada approach highways nearly 900 feet above the Colorado River. The bridge project, Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, cost $240 million with $114 million allocated to the bridge construction.

Innova provided layouts, exhibits and permit assistance to the RTC for Slimline Shelter at 140 bus stop locations within the Las Vegas Valley. Innova coordinated submittals and reviews with 5 agencies including NDOT, Clark County, City of Las Vegas and City of North Las Vegas. Innova prepared and submitted permit applications for 12 different NDOT roadways. The Slimline shelter has a footprint and structure that is only 12” wide and is anchored to a thickened sidewalk that acts as both foundation and sidewalk. This shelter can be mounted within a 5-foot sidewalk width and still meet the 4-foot access width required by PROWAG.
